Pyxis Mobile mPlatform® solutions are used by mobile financial professionals to extend critical business data from internal enterprise systems to the mobile device of their choice.

We are looking for "A" players to join our energetic team, exceed customer expectations, and be instrumental in the success of our company. We currently seek a highly motivated Software Sales Engineer to join its Waltham, Massachusetts team. The successful candidate is primarily responsible for assisting the sales team by completely understanding a prospect prior to a first meeting (details provided by sales team), preparing the system and database accordingly and to demonstrate the product to a prospect.

Although the sales team account managers manage the process the Sales Engineer is instrumental in both completely understanding the investment management lifecycle, various investment systems employed, and also having significant depth within the mPlatform system and all the various components. Knowledge of mPlatform is critical and mPlatform certification within 30 days of hire is required. The Sales Engineer's time will be spent preparing for meetings, traveling with sales team members, demonstrating the system and following up on meetings (under direction of sales manager). The Sales Engineer is expected to have an understanding of the mPlatform roadmap and a fairly in-depth understanding of the technology used within mPlatform.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Ability to present to large groups of people in a variety of settings
Strong SQL skills
Excellent knowledge of databases (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, DBII)
Three to five years experience in financial services (investment management is most preferable)
Experience demonstrating complex products to sophisticated users (i.e. portfolio managers and trading, financial advisors)
Involvement in a sales process is preferred
Desire to become an expert in mPlatform and wireless applications is essential
