Software Quality Assurance Engineer - Remote Sensing

Responsibilities:

-Identify defects in products throughout the entire product life-cycle.
-A thorough understanding of Mapping Science principles and theory.
-Work with a team of software engineers to test software, on-line, and hardcopy manuals for applications in the areas of Digital Photogrammetry, Image Processing, Remote Sensing, GIS, Mapping Science, Geodesy, Geodatabase Techniques, Geographic Analysis, Map -Coordinate Systems, Map Projections, and Visual Simulation.
-Design, analyze, implement, and maintain test scripts for regression test automation.
-Ensure accurate and timely test plan execution and coordination with the documentation process.
-Provide information on the proper use of products to various other groups (i.e. Support, Training, Sales, etc.)
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:

-BS in Geography or Geomatics/Mapping Science(specialized in Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, or GIS.)
-Familiarity with current products such as ERDAS IMAGINE, Photogrammetry Suite, etc.
-Understanding of techniques required to effectively design and implement automated test scripts in support of regression testing of products. This includes having a general familiarity with software test automation tools and experience using Segue Silktest or FIT/FitNesse.
-Experience with databases (SQL, Java, or Oracle).
-Understanding of GIS application development environment.
-Understanding of QA tools.
-In depth Microsoft Windows and UNIX experience.
-Experience with installing, configuring, and testing computer peripherals.
-Experience with ArcGIS.
-Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and will be subject to a government security investigation if necessary.
