The Software Operations Tester provides the project team with performance and interoperability data of applications and configuration on a variety of platforms within a system. The Software Operations Tester performs self-developed, repeatable tests throughout all phases of software integration and applications configuration to identify and aid in the correction of issues during development.Essential Duties:
-Develops tests to validate system functionality
-Associates defined tests with system requirements
-Logs test results and provides testing information back to project team
-Analyzes ways to improve application and component interaction
-Validates results of test through multi-level, repeatable scenarios
-Supports the testing effort throughout the configuration and deployment phases
-Other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent professional experience
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in Software Testing
-Minimum of 4 years of experience working with software as either a programmer, tester, analyst, or engineer
-Experience with developing test procedures and interpreting results
-Experience in working within technical project teams
-Solid written and oral communication skills
-Ability to work without direct supervision
