Software Engineering Technician I, II, Lead Tech or Sr. (IPTV)

To add to our team of talented people, we are currently seeking a Software Engineering Technician I, II, Lead Tech or Sr.(IPTV)
The responsibilities of this role include:
Engineering Tech I, II:
Will provide final qualification of software, hardware, and documentation by accurately following test procedures related to the IPTV project. Will use automated test equipment and provide verbal and written descriptions of all problems found in addition to providing feedback for improving the test process or procedures. On occasion, may interface directly with Engineers to perform tests that will provide results and present those findings to the Engineering Staff in a professional format. May also be required to upgrade signal distribution required for testing purposes. Additionally, may provide support for the Engineering Department when required or perform other duties as assigned.
Lead Engineering Technician:
Provide Leadership and/or support in the Testing of Echostar products more in line with IPTV Projects. Provide assistance in troubleshooting issues as they arise. Interface with Technicians, Engineers and Management to ensure tests are executed fully and to provide data that is meaningful and complete. Manage day-to-day task assignments by ensuring all personnel are assigned testing responsibilities as defined by the priorities communicated from Management.
Senior Engineering Tech:
Inclusive of the Engineering Tech I and Engineering Tech II description, Diagnoses the cause of malfunctions or failures of operational equipment and performs preventive and corrective maintenance.
A high-level knowledge of the Echostar STBs and their functionality is preferred. Will use and train other individuals on automated test equipment and provide verbal and written descriptions of all problems found in addition to providing feedback for improving the test process or procedures as it relates to the IPTV Testing Environment. Works under immediate Supervision with minimal instruction. Individual will work on multiple duties and tasks that are potentially complex from minimally detailed verbal and/or written instructions. Applies advanced skills and may adapt procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment, as appropriate to area of specialization. Resolves most questions and problems, referring only the more complex issues to higher levels. Position may require weekend availability to meet defined deliverables.

job Requirements
Minimum qualifications to be considered are:
Education Requirements:
Engineering Tech I:
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or at least 1 year related experience and/or training; some Internet type testing is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Engineering Tech II:
Associates degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or at least three years related experience and/or training; some advanced training in Internet functionality/testing is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Lead Engineering Tech: Associates degree from a recognized College or University; or at least 4 years related experience and/or training; equivalent testing experience in an Internet environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Senior Engineering Tech: Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; or at least five years related experience and/or training to include a thorough knowledge of Internet functionality and the ability to test such; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Testing of software products and/or documenting software products desired; quality assurance background a plus; experience in other technician fields such as proficient in internet searching. Ability to read and comprehend simple to complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Skills:
Engineering Tech I, II: Proven fast-learner; basic knowledge of software and software test processes; proven written/verbal communication,ability to read, analyze, and interpret most complex documents and to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Lead Engineering Tech: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret most complex documents and to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Senior Engineering Tech: Inclusive of the Engineering Tech I and Engineering Tech II description, a Senior Engineering Tech must also be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.n skills; detailed-oriented; ability to work in teams.
