Software Engineer Senior

Standard Job Description: Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for software. Determines computer user needs; advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.

Typical Minimums: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.

Specific Job Description: The candidates should have experience in Object Oriented development, including UML and C++. The candidate must be experienced in the use of code management tools such as Clear Case and Clear Quest. Knowledge of CMMI Level 5 process awareness. Ability to isolate software problems and bring them to resolution.The candidate should have experience with the ARMY in the area of Battlespace Management and some Military C2. This position will code for the Linux environment and the candidate should be ready to code in C and C++. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
