Software Engineer - Product Support

JOB TITLE: SOFTWARE ENGINEER REQUISITION: 2006113 DATE: JULY 2006 REPORTS TO: MANAGER, PRODUCT SUPPORT LOCATION: RYE GENERAL SUMMARY Software Engineer with strong C++ and Java development skills in a Windows and UNIX environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs moderately complex product design, debugging, systems analysis, and programming activities in C++ and JAVA for state of the art document management software. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Good technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation. Good skills in research and analysis, debugging and implementation. Good understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance. Aware of business issues as they impact overall project plans. Good communication and interpersonal skills. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science or similar experience. Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in software development environment. WORKING CONDITIONS General office environment. Considerable stress may occur. No special physical demands required. OTHER Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in fast paced team environment and quickly learn new software technologies. HOURS Standard Hours 40 hours per week. REQUIREMENTS
COMPUTER/SOFTWARE Knowledge of any of the following is a strong plus JAVA Script, EJB, SQL, ODBC compliant database programming and administration, HTML, TCP/IP, JSP, ASP, XML, Netscape, Internet Explorer, Websphere and/or other Web Server based technologies.
