Software Engineer (Mid-Level)

The Mid-Level Software Engineer we are seeking is emerging as a leader in the field of Java and J2EE development. Our Mid-Level Software Engineer will participate during each phase of the software development life-cycle as he/she supports a new web enabled application we are engineering.
REQUIREMENTS
•Three years of full software life cycle experience
•Experience with multi-tier development including client/server and web technologies
•Experience with RDBMS (particularly Sybase and/or Oracle)
•Experience with Java development
•Experience with XML, JAVA Script, HTML
•Experience with J2EE compliant application servers
•Experience with MVC frameworks
•Understanding of Unit Testing frameworks
•Software design experience
•Experience with UNIX shell scripting
•Ability to utilize and research new methodologies and software
•Ability to create technical documents (required) and white papers (a plus)
•Knowledge of systems engineering, software development methodologies, and requirements analysis a plus
•Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML) required
•Knowledge of Rational Unified Process (RUP), AGILE, IEEE and other industry standards a plus
•Experience with round-trip engineering tools
•Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members as well as non-technical members of the organization
•Comfortable working with all levels of management
•Comfortable interacting with customers
•Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
•Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, current or recent security clearance a plus
•Certifications are a plus
