Software Engineer - Java GUI / EMS

Department Description: This department is responsible for deigning and developing a Java based Element Management System (EMS).

Responsibilities/Expectations: Senior level software engineer responsible for design and development of GUI graphics and application for Java-based element management product. Emphasis on development of Graphical User Interface (GUI) client features.^^

Knowledge Skills: Minimum BSCS and 3+ years experience in commercial grade GUI application development and design.
Extensive track record demonstrating GUI graphics design, Java and OO design skills including experience with Java AWT/Swing packages
Extensive experience with development of commercial grade GUI applications
Ability to work toward agreed upon goals, with a minimum of direction

Desirable:
Exposure to a wide variety of APIs such as threads, networking, security, database (e.g., JDBC, JMS, JMX, JNDI, RMI)
Exposure to XML-related technologies and APIs (e.g., XML, Schema, DOM, SAX, XSLT, Web Services)
ATM and IP networking
