Software Engineer (GUI)

Purpose: There is a North Austin company looking for a strong UI designer with proven ability to understand complex products and how to adapt them to real user needs. The primary role of this position is to design exciting new interfaces. These interfaces will then adapt the power inside their products to the user needs of their target markets. The post ion will construct and lead research that drives these new designs as well as observe and interact with actual customers. The candidate must apply and champion user-centered design across all products.

Requirements:

*BS Computer Science/Electrical Engineering + 8 years experience as a Software Engineer.

*Must be proficient in C#, C++, STL and Objected Oriented Design on Windows platforms. Must have development experience in .NET, MFC, COM and Perl.

*Deep experience with human computer interface design is a must.

Their products encompass large volumes of data across numerous sources; experience solving interface challenges in such an environment will be a strong recommending factor.
