Software Engineer/Development/Lead

Business Unit: GE HealthcareFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: Business Solutions Development is seeking a self-motivated Lead Software Engineer to join the Hospital Development Team. This team is responsible for Visit Management, Hospital Patient Accounting and Combined Business Office product lines. We are committed to helping our customers streamline their revenue cycle process. We currently use the DFSS (Design For Six Sigma) process. As a Software engineer on this team, you will be responsible for understanding our customer's business drivers and system requirements. You will work collaboratively with the team to ensure the best possible solution for our customers. You will be responsible for coding new features and enhancements in very aggressive time frames, with high quality.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Requirements include: excellent communication skills, excellent analytical skills, ability to focus on details, ability to execute on high quality standards, Some travel may be required.
Knowledge and experience with Cache, SQL, HTML and Web.
Excellent coding skills in OO and advanced coding languages. Strong skills in database technologies. Use of best practice coding techniques to insure high quality product delivery. Proven ability to easily and quickly adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Ability to quickly ramp up on new technologies. Excellent technical trouble shooting skillsDesired: Five or more years software development experience in a healthcare information systems organization.
