Software Engineer Controls

We are currently seeking a Software Engineer who will encompass a variety of exposure to different facets of embedded powertrain control system design and development. The Software Engineer will review, gather software requirements, cascade requirements to others, plan, and schedule software design tasks, document, implement, participate in peer reviews and test software for application in a real time powertrain control system. The developed software will conform to specifications through the use of simulations, bench and vehicle validation and to provide the integration of software into an application; Developed software and documentation are to adhere to the company¿s Powertrain Design Standards; Software will be developed or revised spanning form low level drivers to a high level for real-time embedded and new microcontroller technologies.~cb~
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with over seven to ten years of work experience in powertrain embedded control system development; Knowledge and experience with UNIX, PC, C, Matlab, Simulink, Clearcase, Excel and Word; Demonstrate experience in developing real-time embedded microprocessor systems for automotive applications, familiar with automotive algorithm development, and with the use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, software development systems (compilers, configuration management systems, etc.), and debuggers, etc; Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; Able to design and implement software in C and Assembly Languages; Familiar with use of laboratory equipment as scopes, logic analyzers, software development systems and debuggers; Must be an energetic, self-starter, able to work within small teams and ability to communicate clearly with others.
