Job Description:
•The preservation and management of all versions of the software and artifacts required to produce the software for all versions of our products that have been previously release and currently under development, delivering periodic builds of the production development software to the test/QA teams, supporting development and test engineers on the use of ClearCase and CM process related issues, enforce the software development process in areas involving the storage and versioning of the software, and merge code changes submitted by developers and approved by test into the production build areas.
•Secondary roles include the development and maintenance of automation and scripts to perform common CM activities, producing the final production build of the product for release, the building and storage of any unofficial e-fixes that are prematurely released, periodic training of developers as required on the use of the software source control management systems and the development processes the developers will follow when using ClearCase.
•The CM engineer may assist the development staff and maintain build scripts for use in the development software. They will also be required to approve and inspect all changes to the build system to ensure quality, reuse, speed of builds, easy of use by development, and conformance to development processes are maintained by the build system.
•Work closely with Development, Test, and other functional area managers to maintain the current software process, design and implement software process changes, using ClearQuest. Provide training as needed to the users of ClearQuest, as to how to use the product in general, and how our internal software process has been implemented.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
•BS Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent and 3 years related experience.
Experience:

•IBM’s Rational ClearCase,
Preferred:
•C, C++, VB, Java, Visual Studio, Eclipse
•Experience in the following is a Plus: csh, ksh, and sh scripting; knowledge in variable build technologies; knowledge in Software Development lifecycle and Software test methodologies.
