Perform software engineering activities on THAAD Launcher Component. This includes software analysis, design, code, unit test, and integration in a mixed VxWorks and Windows XP embedded environment. Experience in development using C++ is required. Experience with Object Oriented Design, real-time embedded systems, CORBA and knowledge of Army Air Defense systems is desired. Some travel may be required.

General Position Description:
Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for software. Determines computer user needs; advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
