Software Development Manager

Oversee the development activities for SimManager. Responsible for managing projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product to external customers. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters. Define product specifications for upcoming releases for SimManager, maintain and supervise release schedule and activities.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum BS in Computer Science or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred.

Minimum 10 experience in software development with increasing responsibility from basic programming skills through advanced systems architecture, with particular emphasis on data management and enterprise technologies.

Minimum 5 years of experience in doing architecture design, system development, project management/management of design and delivery of enterprise applications.

•Comprehensive knowledge of RDMS and enterprise technologies such as Oracle, DB2, WebSphere, Tomcat, JBOSS
•Sound knowledge of and experience with OOD, enterprise design patterns. Ability to lead and perform design reviews.
•Expert in service protocol not limited to: web services, messaging, flat, batch, data queuing
•Knowledge of security: standards, tools, LDAP, JAAS, Access and Identity management
•Excellent communication skills, ability to bring clarity and ease of use to complex systems and technical architecture frameworks
•Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Rational unified, Scrum)
•Strong knowledge of, and experience with, project management tools and methodologies
•Strong and effective managerial tasks including organizational, interpersonal, leadership and mentoring skills

Good knowledge of, and experience with, office productivity tools such as Word, Excel, Project, etc.
