This individual will work with the Search Technology Team to develop the core engine to support the clients web-site and various R&D efforts.This individual will work with other search engineers on the design and implementation of a large scale crawling, processing and serving system in a distributed environment.
Tasks include implementing search algorithms, data mining, improving relevancy or search results, managing terabytes of data and scaling algorithms to work on very large data sets, and serving search results using a large network of Linux servers.Individual duties include design and development: the crawling of search engine. Requirements:

Must have a the desire and commitment to build a leading edge search engine.Must have extensive programming experience in C or C++.Preferred experience in building a search engine crawler and indexer.Experience with high capacity servers or embedded systems a plus.Must have experience with search engine relevance and information retrieval techniques.Strong background in probability and statistics preferred.Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people.
