Software Development Engineer


Job Description

Mid level and senior level software engineers will be responsible for the design/development/integration/testing/maintenance of various features and functionalities in Philips Radiation Oncology software. Depending upon experience and ambition, the individual will be a leader or member of a team working on the current and/or next-generation products.

REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
Experience Requirements:
Preferred Profile

Must have:
A willingness to work in the process-oriented environment required for an FDA regulated product
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineer, Computer Science, Medical Physics or related field
2+ years experience in C/C++
Strong problem solving skills
Full life cycle product experience
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Dedicated to planning and schedule execution

Desired Additional Qualifications:
3+ years of product design experience, including Design Patterns
2+ years experience in C#/.NET (Java may substitute)
Previous experience with both *NIX and Windows software development
Previous Medical software product development experience, particularly in medical imaging or oncology applications
Strong mathematical or scientific application background (e.g. Physics, Numerical Analysis)
Technical team leadership skills
Experience working cohesively with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs groups
Experience generating detailed requirements and mid level design documentation
Understanding of GUI / human factors workflow
Familiarity with software workflow issues, including Microsoft Workflow Foundation (or BPEL)
