Job Description:
•Responsible for the research, design, and development of computer software systems and algorithms for engineering programs, in conjunction with hardware product development. Responsible for providing expert knowledge on SW design, SW integration (COTs, GOTs), SW test, scripting and webmaster/webportal development for novel systems.
•Provide UNIX/Linux/Windows administration for engineering programs and an enterprise infrastructure servicing multiple engineering disciplines. Lead high impact technical teams and motivate peer team members to successful and timely completion of projects.
•Ideal candidate to have familiarity with the following applications: ArcGIS, STK, QT Modeler, Rational, Clearcase, Clearquest, Matlab, Falcon View, and Sharepoint. SOA tool experience to include BEA or IBM SOA environment, registry, Enterprise Service Bus, & BPEL also desirable but not mandatory as the effort will involve establishing a SOA Framework and developing mission oriented services.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
•BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent. A good knowledge of COTS software integration, custom application development, UNIX/Linux scripting, TCP/IP and NFS is required.
•Knowledge of system administration in an enterprise environment for Windows, Solaris (UNIX), Linux and Irix is desired. Must be knowledgeable of computer hardware and networking.
•Requires programming language skills (C, C++, & JAVA) and scripting skills.
•Requires software development, web application development, application integration and troubleshooting skills.
•Experience with Enterprise Content Management Systems, Workflow, Application Servers, and Database Information Systems a plus. Must demonstrate the ability to learn new skills, adapt to changing environments and show attention to detail. Requires demonstrated team leadership skills with the ability to lead technical projects and establish/mature business processes. Team player and strong customer focus required.
Positions at U.S. Harris locations may require U.S. citizenship for the purposes of obtaining a government security clearance. This position requires a current TS/SCI/CI Poly type clearance. Additional clearances may also be required.
