Software Developer

Daktronics is recognized worldwide as a leader in the large electronic display industry. The company designs, manufactures, sells, and services a variety of display products in three primary markets: sports, commercial, and transportation.

Video Products engineering is responsible for the user-friendly video system controller, V-Play™, V-Net and Venus 7000. These systems provide means to control Daktronics displays regardless of the input type (video, VGA, or proprietary). Several of these controllers require close interaction with hardware.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for developing software applications to control display systems
Specify, design, write and test software to control electronic programmable display products.
Provide guidance in the development of technical manuals and specifications.
Provide technical support to customers.
Work effectively as a team member; work with little supervision; make suggestions for process and product improvements; communicate effectively with team members.
Complete projects with quality work in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed to support video products engineering.
Work regular and reliable work schedule.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited institution is required.
Experience in C/C++/C# programming is required.
Experience in programming in the MS-Windows environment preferred.
Experience with Daktronics products is desired.
Good oral and written communications skills, good organizational skills, self motivated.
Ability and willingness to travel including air travel.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Motor vehicle records will be checked.
