An individual with 9+ years of ERP programming, interface development, coding and development tools use experience. Codes and tests software based upon software specifications and designs. Uses sound software engineering principles to develop code that is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, and fault tolerant. Provides software process management and control throughout the coding portion of the software development process. Leads the design, development and implementation of computer applications. Plans, conducts and coordinates business application programming activities. May analyze production, development and test scenarios using Air Force Logistics functions including Asset Management, Life Cycle History, Item Management, Allowance Standards and Decision support. Responsible for generating documentation using the Rose modeling tool, analyzing Business Use Cases, designing System Use Cases, coding to the System Use Case requirements, develop Unit Test Cases and functional Review certification. Prepares online help using XML. Develops procedures and operating instructions, revises existing programs, systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling conversion and storage. Candidate should have knowledge of Java, Swing, J2EE, Struts, XML, OOA and OOD. Candidate should be familiar with the Rational Unified Process (RUP) and Rational tools including RequisitePro, ClearCase, ClearQuest and Rational Rose. Candidate should be familiar with Rational Application Developer and WebSphere Application Server v4.0 or higher. Candidate should have hands on experience in all phases of OO process. Candidate should have project and technical lead experience in the total development life cycle including estimating methods, scheduling, and earned value methods. Candidate must have a secret clearance. Hire is contingent on award of U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Combat Support System (ECSS) contract.
General Position Description:
Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.
