Software Build / Release Engineer

Purpose: A large software development organization is in need of a Build / Release Engineer for its Ann Arbor, MI facility.

The Release Engineer will be responsible for the development of build scripts for the merging of files and source code information. Job duties will include developing Perl and Unix shell scripts, merging of branches and code using CVS, and using build tools such as Make, iMake, and ANT.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in a Unix environment with excellent Perl and shell scripting skills (command-line Unix skills). Strong experience with CVS, including experience merging branches in a complex environment, is crucial as well. Any Java development experience would be a plus, but is not required. Good communication and documentation skills are a must.
