Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents as well as code reviews. Experience and Competencies: 7+ years of software/system engineering including 4+ years of software architecture experience preferably in a medical device or other regulated product development organization. Good understanding of UML modeling techniques, architectural patterns, and state of the art software architecture.Excellent knowledge about systems and software architecture in PC based medical systems using Microsoft XP operating systems. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to communicate information effectively to marketing, managers, and technical staff. Ability to convey ideas and concepts to a wide range of audiences including product management and engineers is essential. Excellent understanding and hands on experience of C++ and .NET is required. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment as part of a team. Produce excellent results with minimal supervision. Strong analytic and decision-making skills. Strong quality orientation and customer focus. Interaction and collaboration with several departments and locations around the world is required. Occasional domestic and international travel required. Education/Equivalent Training Required: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field required.
