Altaquip is a multi-location affiliate of The Scott Fetzer Company specializing in repairs of powered equipment products. Altaquip repairs products in the electrical and mechanical areas such as air compressors, generators, paint sprayers, bench top woodworking saws, and nailers. In addition, Altaquip has expanded into Lawn & Garden products such as mowers, trimmers, edgers, tillers, pressure washers, blowers, and chain saws. There is significant repair volume of small engines, such as Briggs & Stratton, Honda, Tecumseh and Kohler. Altaquip currently has 26 locations in the U.S. and Canada.

The candidate must be trained and proficient at repairing all major engine manufacturers, (Certification preferred). Further training from the OEM may be required from time to time on major product categories. In addition, the individual must be familiar with tracking and achieving daily performance targets for unit output and revenues. They will also help monitor repair quality, product appearance standards, boxing of product, supplying manuals, etc. Working knowledge of administrative functions such as creating work orders, invoicing parts and labor, and researching information from a computer terminal will also be required. Finally, the individual will assist in training and mentoring less experienced mechanics.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with both 2 and 4 cycle engines. Experience with electromechanical and generator repairs is beneficial.
