Site Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Site Project Managers will coordinate with Nucor’s maintenance supervisors to effectively
Rebuild equipment, supply new parts and assemblies as required, and manage projects for
continuous improvement in the uptime of the equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·Defines scope for equipment rebuilds and selects and releases to approved network vendor. Issues requests to lead project manager for shop inspections as required.
·Researches and develops criteria for rebuilds/modifications.
·Analyzes equipment performance and life cycle extensions.
·Submits requests for quotation to the lead project manager for each site, when budgetary price quotations are required before hand.
·Generates final scope or approves final scope provided by project management support or network shop, and submits to Nucor maintenance supervisor.
·Inspects and evaluates as-received equipment.
·Obtains Nucor approval on final documentation and drawings for equipment modifications.
·Identifies opportunities for improving equipment performance.
·Pursue and identify problematic areas and to report and discuss options with Nucor Maintenance Supervisor.
·Provides technical support for Nucor maintenance personnel.
·Pinpoints mechanical equipment outage requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
·Minimum Associates Degree, with preference towards a Bachelor of Science degree. Prefer Mechanical Engineering, but others are considered.
·Familiarity with Microsoft Office
·Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
·Strong verbal and written communication skills
·Ability to manage time effectively
·Ability to work independently and be decisive
