Simulation Engineer

Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: Develop simulation lesson plans and malfunction scenarios for self paced study.
Perform customer demos, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and installations.
Support the simulation installed base with troubleshooting, upgrades and site audits.
Validate process model dynamic response to actual turbine performance.
Develop technical scope for simulation proposals
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or high school diploma and 5+ years of experience with GE gas turbines, steam turbines and balance of power plant operations/controls.
Experienced with Mark VI and Cimplicity HMI.
15% Travel to Customer Sites.
Strong Analytical Skills working independently and in a team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel.
Willing to interface between cross-functional teams to create and maintain a complete simulation platform.
Self-starter with proven experience managing multiple tasks.Eligibility Requirements

You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
If currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 12 months and have at least a satisfactory performance rating.Desired: Six Sigma Green Belt Certified (GE Employees Only).
Prior simulation experience.
Field Engineering / Turbine Startup experience.
Masters Degree in Engineering or Simulation.
Distributed/Integrated Control System (DCS/ICS) experience.
