Siebel Software Operations Administrator

Our client is seeking a Software Operations Administrator to perform Functional Operations Support & Operations Administration.This is a contract to hire, or direct hire opportunity for the right candidate. Salary will be commensurate with experience, plus an excellent benefits package.This individual will have lots of visibility across functional teams (and sometimes) through executive management. Siebel is a huge plus but in lieu of Siebel experience, they will consider a bright individual who has enough applications experience to pick up and learn things quickly.This resource will have the following responsibilities: Incident/Problem management
Investigate and coordinate resolution of incidents
Communicate summary status to management
Drive root-cause analysis of problems and shepherd their resolution through the client's software development lifecycle
Manage regular meetings with business and IT stakeholders to prioritize and resolve important problems
Technical SME
Evaluate scheduled application and environment changes for risks
Advocate mitigations to such risks which protect the production environment
Manage the technical planning of maintenance, parameter changes, and application releasesA qualified candidate will be experienced in software development and operations best-practices. Our client has adopted a modified ITIL standard for IT processes and familiarity with the standard is a plus. 4 to 8 years of development, operations, or testing experience in large enterprise environments is appropriate.A qualified candidate must be articulate and precise in communications, both written and oral. This is critical to successfully coordinating the resolution of production problems.The candidate must be skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving. A strong analytical background is required. This position demands the ability to think creatively to quickly identify workarounds to problems affecting business processes.Two years experience as a Siebel administrator or developer is a requirement. Core Consultant Certification is highly recommended; every member of the team currently holds this certification. A broad technical background is an advantage in our clients heterogeneous environment.An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is required.Hourly rate is competitive, and we offer full benefits as well as a 401k and Employee Stock Purchase program.
