Senior Wastewater Engineer

PBS&J, a national employee owned engineering firm, is currently seeking a Senior Level Engineer for our Water/Wastewater practice in our Beltsville, MD office. More specifically, we are looking for engineers who are looking for technically challenging projects and the resources to do them. PBS&J currently has a strong backlog of large water and wastewater treatment plant designs, including ENR upgrades in support of the Chesapeake Bay Agreement. The successful candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities.

· Analysis, calculations, research, selection, and layout, necessary to develop required design documents.
· Supervising drafters, designer, and occasional subordinate engineers assigned to the project. This includes work assignments, scheduling, and review. Coordinating design efforts with other project personnel in the same or other departments. Coordinating items include space control, schedule and layout optimization.
·The selected individual will assist in marketing and managing clients in the MD, VA region. Approximately 20% of selected candidate's time will be spent marketing and 80% will be spent on technical issues and project management. The focus of marketing would be design and construction of water and wastewater treatment plants.
REQUIREMENTS
B.S. or M.S. in Civil, Environmental, Sanitary, or Chemical Engineering. M.S. or graduate level technical course work preferred.
The successful candidate should have at least 15 to 20 years of experience.
Previous consulting experience highly preferred.
