THE ROLE


The User Interface (UI) Engineer at Netflix has the responsibility of implementing one of the most well designed websites on the internet. Having a highly intuitive, useful web experience is at the core of the UI Engineer’s efforts. We are looking for someone that can help to develop the next standard of how people find and choose movies. In order to make this happen, we need a great UI Engineer that is a master at Ajax , Java, JSP and Flash.
This engineer will be responsible for developing new products and improving upon existing products. Candidates demonstrate mastery of HTML, the DOM, JavaScript, and CSS development in a cross-browser environment. A sharp eye for detail is a must. Additionally, significant experience using JSP, Java, and Flash is required.QUALIFICATIONSExpert-level knowledge of HTML and JavaScriptSolid knowledge of JSP, Java, and Java ServletsMust be able to demonstrate a solid understating of the DOMStrong sense of what is required of a great user interfaceDeep understanding of cross-browser development techniquesIn-depth understanding and experience with CSS. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

BS or MS degree in Computer science or equivalent6+ years professional web development experience, preferably in e-commerce2+ years professional Java development experience
