Senior UNIX Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer

CBS Digital Media, a CBS internet media division, is looking
for a full time, Senior UNIX Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer.This person will share in the responsiblity for the research, design,and implementation of enterprise solutions (HW, OS, and application SW)for CBS' Digital Media properties, e.g. CBS SportsLine.com, CBSnews.com,and CBS.com.This person will help implement stragegies to centrally manage a
distributed, heterogenous environment, utilizing tools such as Perl, Python, Cfengine, and CVS--as well as have the motivation
and skill set to R&D and deploy creative SW solutions to meet the infrastructure needs of a Tier 1 Internet site(s).Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are a MUST.
REQUIREMENTS
o Bachelor of Computer Science (or demonstrable equivalence).
o Superior Linux administrator with all phases of support, e.g. kernel tuning, network, and OS admin skills.
o Superior Solaris OS and Network environment administrator.
o Superior Apache web server build, configuration, and performance tuning.
o Superior TCP/IP network stack understanding and administration.
o Strong C, Perl, and BASH programming/scripting skills a must.
o Strong NAS (network appliance a big plus).
o Strong working knowledge of the following, i.e. setup and admin: --Cfengine (a BIG plus) --NFS (Exp. w/ Network Appliance configuration) --DNS (BIND 9) --Sendmail & Postfix --OpenLDAP/kerberos realm setup and administration --TCP/IP networking --Linux Kickstart technologies --Solaris JumpStart technologies --RPM and Solaris Package builds and maintenance --CVS setupo Familarity with Load Balancing technologies.
o Good writing skills.
o Foundry Networks gear configuration experience a plus.
