Senior Test Engineer

The Senior Test Engineer evaluates products by designing and conducting a variety of performance, environmental, and operational tests to ensure customer design specifications are met. This person also coordinates qualification and research and development test programs of diverse/difficult scope and complexity.

Specifically, this person will determine test objectives, define a plan to meet the objectives, conduct/manage the required testing, intepret/analyze the results, and report the findings. Interaction with Design Engineering is required to solve complex problem in the development and qualification of new product. This person will also review/sign-off on test fixture drawings, order special test equipement, and coordinate outsourced testing.
REQUIREMENTS
1. U.S. Citizen
2. More than 6 years experience in a test engineering role
3. Bachelors Degree in an engineering field desired
4. Working knowledge of electronic, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic test equipment, military specifications and test procedures is a big plus
5. Ability to use standard business applications and specialized data analysis tools that may include database, network, or project management applications
6. Ability to work on technical problems of diverse scope and complexity where analysis and evaluation of various outcomes require tradeoffs
7. Solve a wide range of difficult problems in imaginative and practical ways and evaluate alternative solutions that may require coordination across multiple teams
8. Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders, vendors, other teams, customers, and top management
9. LabView experience is a huge plus
