Apama is also considered by most industry analysts as the most proven and complete product in the Event Stream Processing/Event Driven Architecture/Complex Event Processing computing platform. Apama has been successful implemented in a number other industries such as telecommunication, logistics and transportation.We are looking to hire a key Senior Technical Services Engineer position. This individual will be working with customers to gather requirements; architect and implement the event processing system using our Apama product.The position is to be located in New York City; alternative location is Bedford, MA.Responsibilities:Product expert working with the sales team to position and demonstrate Apama capabilities to customers.
Articulate competitive positioning of Apama product suite during the sales cycle.
Understand and analyze customer requirements.Assess customer project fit with Apama technology.
Develop and craft detail requirements and architecture for Statement of Work.
Scope, design and architect proof of concept (POC).
Code, implement, configure and install the POC.
Be the lead architect and project manager for a team of developers on larger project.
Be a technical point person for customer’s technical questions and issues.
Deliver private and public training class to customers
Actively feedback advance customer requirements to the product engineering.
Mentor and guide junior level technical services personnel in the team.Qualifications
Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Comfortable to be part of a team or work independently to meet project goals.
Comfortable interacting and presenting to senior level executives.
Proven technical expertise including RDBMS, C++, Java, XML, Web Services, J2EE app servers and various operating systems.
Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skill.
Able and flexible to do domestic and international travel on business needs.
Strong preference for candidate with relevant domain expertise in market data systems and trading applications in Financial Services.
