Senior Systems Test Engineer (WCDMA Desired)

Job Area: LegalRole: The position requires a candidate to provide patent filing support to a busy patent preparation and prosecution division, under direction of an assigned counsel(s) or agent(s). The responsibilities include filing of applications, amendments, missing parts, various petitions, and flagging the need for continuation/divisional and/or reissue applications. The successful candidate will serve as a main contact for inventors. Duties for this will include obtaining information from them to identify products, technologies, and/or standards associated with relevant applications and issued patents. Strong customer service skills and orientation required. Other opportunities of the position can include performing technical and legal research using various electronic research data bases,proof reading an application's specification and claims for errors, and coordinating the assigned counsel(s)or agent(s) docket.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills/Experience: The position requires a motivated and self-starting individual who is able to exercise independent judgement and assist in educating his or her teammates. Solid communication and organizational skills are a must. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Word and Excel and have a working knowledge of Access, Visio, and Lexis, Westlaw, and Dialog.Additional Skills: A candidate's ability to contribute as an individual as well as participate as an equal in a strong team environment is indispensable to excel at this position.Education Requirements: A minimum of three years of experience as a patent legal assistant is required for consideration.@HJ
