Senior Systems Engineer - Voice

We are seeking a Systems Engineer IV – Voice to join our staff at our Washington DC or Carney’s Point, New Jersey location. As a fully competent Voice Communications professional, you will plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Job functions will include devising new approaches to problems encountered and maintaining liaison with individuals and business areas within or outside the Information Technology organization.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates with at least 4 years of experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:
•Experience demonstrating skill supporting IPT networks.
•Considerable experience demonstrating skill installing, configuring and migrating voice communications hardware and software.
•Considerable experience demonstrating skill resolving problems related to voice based communication applications and utility or operating system software, to include:
oPerforming root cause analysis;
oProactively examining potential issues/problems;
oGathering diagnostic information;
oApplying and testing fixes; and
oPerforming production corrective maintenance.
•Considerable experience demonstrating skill designing, implementing and providing advanced support of voice communications systems and architectures such as PBX and Voice Mail.
•Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
•Experience demonstrating skill creating and maintaining proper documentation of installed software/hardware in compliance with organizational guidelines.
•Experience demonstrating skill serving as a liaison between clients and other IT support staff and/or third-party vendors.
•Experience demonstrating skill managing voice communication projects.

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field highly preferred.
