Senior Systems Engineer Support and SE Database Mgmt.

SAIC is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to support its Space, Earth, and Aviation Sciences Operation in Huntsville, AL.

This position is responsible for providing Systems Engineering (SE) Support and SE database management. Candidate will provide database schema management and control, coordination & integration for SE ICE applications/tools, and CMMI coordination that includes: SE process definition and deployment; SE process improvement; and SE metrics development.

The successful candidate will work on problems of diverse scope, normally receiving no instruction on routine work and general instructions on new assignments. May supervise and/or provide guidance to other personnel. Frequently interacts with outside customers and functional peer groups. Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees. Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies. Contributes to the development of the organizations goals and objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering or equivalent discipline and 7+ years of related experience is required.

Candidate must have the ability to develop excellent working relationships with customers, peers, and management. The candidate must be able to assimilate technical concepts quickly and present technical information clearly and concisely for technical and non-technical audiences. The candidate for this position must also possess excellent interpersonal skills, MS Office skills, the ability to work independently, and the proven ability to meet tight deadlines and adjust to changing priorities. Finally, candidate must have the ability to use project management and configuration management tools.

DESIRED SKILLS: SE Database (Cradle, DOORS) experience, SE Modeling (Cradle, Visio) experience and Schema Planning (Protege') experience is desirable.
