Systems Engineer leading team efforts in the pursuit, independent research & development, design and development of Information Management (IM) and Knowledge Management (KM) software systems and enterprise-level information systems. This position will support large enterprise-wide programs and new business pursuits. Responsible for supporting planning R&D programs and recommending technological application programs to accomplish long-term objectives in IM/KM.
REQUIREMENTS
Educational Requirements:•BS Computer Science or BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience and training. MS Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is preferred. Must have 15 or more years of directly related industry experience.
Experience:•Must have in-depth background in Enterprise Level architecture design preferably for government customers in the INTEL community. Specific experience with the web technologies, service oriented architecture and commercial off-the-shelf tool integration and customization. Able to interact with customers as a mission partner to develop objectives and constraints.•Translation of objectives into architectural concepts, system quantitative requirements and system functional requirements; development of CONOPS, System Specifications, and external Interfaces and data architecture design. Candidates must possess knowledge and experience in developing information taxonomies and ontology’s and the knowledge-based applications that use them. Experience in the intelligence-related information management systems is required.•Trade-off Analysis; performing make/buy cost analysis and COTS product tradeoffs. Modeling, Simulation and Analysis of alternatives that evaluate mission effectiveness, mission utility, performance•Technical leadership for design, development, and system integration and test•Technical oversight for subcontractors/suppliers Conducting System Requirements Reviews, System Design Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, and Critical Design Reviews. Tasks will also include technical writing skills•Travel up to 20%
