Senior Staff Software Engineer - Embedded/SNMP

Department Description: Software development for Motorola's Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) systems.

Responsibilities/Expectations: Candidate will be a member of the software team working on development of the Optical Access Switch. Responsibilities include support of the SNMP agent, definition, implementation of the new SNMP MIBs in VxWorks OS environment, unit testing, and interfacing with NMS application team.

Candidate should be highly motivated, capable of working independently in a small team environment and eager to work in a fast-changing, highly dynamic atmosphere. ^^

Knowledge Skills: Software development experience in a C/Real-time embedded system environment required.
Experience and knowledge of SNMP, SNMP MIBs, RFC standards and related tools required.
Experience and familiarity with VxWorks, Tornado development environment, NMS application interface, various Routing protocols, PON, ATM, VOIP, TCP/UDP/IP, and TCL/Scotty is plus.

BSEE or BSCS or equivalent. At least 10+ years of embedded software development and at least 5+ SNMP experience.
