Senior Software Engineer - Signal Processing

Business Unit: GE HealthcareFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: As a key member of the MIC/OB engineering team, you will be expected to:
Develop world-class, real-time, signal-processing algorithms for our next generation medical monitoring products.
Evaluate existing products to ensure complete capture of systems requirements.
Translate requirements into a robust software design within the framework developed by the Lead System Designers.
Implement, test, verify, and document the algorithms to ensure requirements are met.
Track status and communicate progress effectively to LSD, LPI and engineering manager.~HJ~
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related computer field or equivalent of 5 years related work experience.
6+ years embedded software design and development for complex systems or computerized products.
Demonstrated experience in real-time signal processing using C, C++ and/or assembly languages.
Proven analytical, interpersonal, communication, organization, planning and leadership skills. Process focus and continuous improvement orientationDesired: * Two years experience in medical device industry or equivalent safety critical industry.
Green Belt Six Sigma certification
Familiarity with ISO 13485.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience developing software under commercial RTOS.
