THE ROLE
The engineer will be working with a talented group of engineers in the Netflix IT Applications department. The IT Applications department is responsible for supporting Customer billing, Finance, Purchasing and Receiving departments. We act as an interface between Web Engineering, CRM and Logistics teams. We use Oracle E business suite 11i (GL/AP/AR/PO/INV) for core financials, and have built extensions to it, in a loosely coupled way for customer billing, purchasing and receiving. In addition to the above, we are responsible for generating DVD orders for customers taking into account the inventory available at various Netflix hub locations, and the shortest route possible to meet the customer demand.
In this challenging and critical position you will set up and administer all Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems for the company to enhance our supply chain management systems, work with our trading partners to ensure that the most optimum processes are in place and implement EDI with them.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and setup EDI operations in areas that would streamline and improve the operation issues.Monitor, identify and resolve day-to-day EDI operations issues.Install and configure the EDI software, trading partner data, scripts and new EDI documents.Maintain strong trading partner relationships with customers and key account executives.Design, implement and maintain supporting programs, test scripts, documentation and reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 8 years experience in Oracle PLSQL.Minimum 5 years experience related to EDI.Direct experience with the EDI process, EDI documents and mappings, and EDI communications processing required.
Knowledge of ANSI X12, EDIFACT, AS2 and other messaging standards.Capable of documenting EDI processes and reporting on data metrics.
Exposure to RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes (PIPs).Excellent verbal and written communications.Complete knowledge of all phases of Software Development Cycle.Act as point of contact for application problems / emergencies.Good UML based technical documentation.Strong organizational skills and detail orientation. Excellent oral and written communication skills, to communicate with all levels of employees, customers and EDI service providersAbility to work seamlessly in a team development environment.
Nice To Have
C#, .Net experience or Java, J2EE.Web services, XML, XSL, XSLT, WSDL, and SOAP.Oracle applications ERP Inventory and supply chain flow.Experience with Products like Gentran and EDI translators for Inbound and outbound messages.A Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent engineering.
