Position Summary/Scope of Position
The Senior Software Developer will be a key member of a collaborative team which will design, develop, enhance and maintain the next generation DVD publishing tools. The primary focus for this position will center on Video encoding, Video decoding, processing and rendering in support of our authoring and playback video products.
Primary Responsibilities:
This position primarily involves technical software design and implementation. Interact and collaborate with product marketing and other developers to clarify product specifications and implementation designs. Use technical creativity to design, code and debug, object-oriented software for consumer and professional Windows DVD products.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements and Skills Necessary for the Position:
BSEE or BSCS or equivalent experience required / MSEE or MSCS preferred
5+ years commercial software development experience
5+ years C++ experience required
Strong object-oriented programming skills required
Visual C++ IDE experience required
Strong communication skills both oral and written, multi-tasking required
Windows 98/2K/XP APIs experience
DVD, digital video, digital audio, or multimedia development experience preferred
DirectShow filter development
Direct3D experience preferred
Video encoding, decoding, processing and rendering experience preferred
