Lockheed Martin Information Technology - Professional Services is seeking two Senior Software Engineers to provide support for the Defense Intelligence Agency's Integrated Defense Source Registry System (IDSRS) initiative. The selected candidates will: lead the migration effort for assimilation of source data currently contained in the SOMDB and Portico applications into the IDSRS, and ensure that database architecture, data schema, XML, and METADATA "best practices" are employed; work as part of an integrated team, and will be expected to lead - formally or informally - the migration of SOMSDB/Portico into the IDSRS architecture; ensure critical capabilities are accomplished using “Best Practices” that conform with existing DIA Policies, Procedures, and Regulations; develop all software utilizing ISO9001/AS9100 and CMMI-Level 5 methodologies; apply extensive technical expertise, with full knowledge of other related disciplines; develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity; exercise considerable latitude in determining technical approaches to assignment; employ modern software engineering practices and processes using state-of-the-art tools and techniques in compliance with DoD/DIA (DODIIS) standards; be responsible for meeting schedules/milestones assigned to the team, and guide the successful completion of major programs, and may function in a project leadership role. Work is performed without appreciable direction. These are full-time positions located in Chantilly, VA. Compensation is based on qualifications, education and experience - negotiable. REQUIREMENTS
U.S. citizen with a current DoD Top Secret security clearance. Ability to derive system-level requirements, provide performance measurements for development management, perform requirements analysis, define interface requirements, and identify elements for management oversight and control; experience in software engineering, with hands-on experience as a lead in developing Web Services within a J2EE architecture; familiarization and programming experience with SQL, Oracle, SYBASE and other database software is a must; development experience with J2EE and XML-based applications is a necessity; knowledge/experience with source registration systems such as Portico, SOMSDB, NAMS, ASOMS, CHIMS/CHATS, HDWS, and CATEIS; knowledge of SOAP, Java, J2EE, Java/XML data binding, EJB, JMS, object oriented development and application of SEI CMMI Software Development processes; experience with task/team leadership of software development, and the ability to develop schedules/track development tasks utilizing metrics; familiarity with, WebLogic/WebMethods, SYBASE, SQL, and Oracle is desired; experience with Portal/JSP development, XSLT, automated test tools and processes desired; ability to work well in a dynamic, flexible, and demanding environment; strong oral and written communication skills. Experience with the use of Biometrics systems is a plus. Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of related experience with a Masters degree. Masters Degree in Computer Science/Engineering Discipline a plus.
