Senior Software Configuration Manager

We are seeking an innovative, creative and experienced Senior-level Configuration Manager who is ready for the challenges, responsibilities, and rewards that come with working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
The Senior Configuration Manager manages tasks associated with configuration engineering, in addition to monitoring, recording and controlling change in order to maintain product integrity.  The following are key requirements for the position: 
         Plan and direct all software and firmware configuration management activities.          Maintain and enhance a multi-product, multi-platform build system.          Evaluate and recommend third-party tools and packages to aid in the SCM effort.         Work closely with software/firmware developers to incorporate new products and new system components to the SCM system as appropriate.         Work with test engineers and operations to generate labeled product releases for customer distribution.          Develop, document, and distribute web-based tools for tracking, displaying, and reporting on software changes over multiple release branches.         Develop and document scripts to automate SCM, nightly builds, beta builds, and release builds.         Manage, plan, and communicate branching and merging schedules to the development team.         Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS


Education:  BS in Computer Science or closely related field from an accredited college/university
Experience, skills and preferred background:             Minimum 5 years experience required.                Experience developing and maintaining SCM systems on multiple development platforms including Windows and Linux.        Strong experience with Linux scripting languages such as bash and tcsh.         Experience with CVS or other standard configuration management system is required.        Software development experience in C or C++ is highly desirable.         Experience building make files.        Familiarity with current best practices and concepts in the field of SCM.         Strong verbal and written communications skills.
