Senior SW Engineer

Department Description: Software engineering for Motorola’s Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) systems.

Responsibilities/Expectations: Candidate will be a member of the software team working on development of the AXS2200 Optical Access Switch. Responsibilities include design, implementation, test and documentation of network equipment applications software executing in the VxWorks OS environment.

Candidate should be highly motivated, capable of working independently in a small team environment and eager to work in a fast-changing, highly dynamic atmosphere.

Knowledge Skills: Software development experience using C language required. Real-time embedded systems development in PowerPC-based environments is preferred.

Experience and familiarity with VxWorks, Tornado development environment, Rational tools, networking protocols, Telcordia standards, PON, ATM, VOIP, TCP/UDP/IP, and TCL/Scotty is plus.

BSEE or BSCS or equivalent required.
