Senior Quality Engineer

Determines the quality approach and applies creativity and advanced concepts in the area of electrical design and manufacturing. Responsible for program quality planning, execution and control required to meet the program's needs. Responsible for development and maintenance of the program quality objectives and plans, the schedule for the quality effort, assessment of related work products, and providing a quality interface with the customer and other GDATP functional organizations and management.Develops, reviews, verifies, tests, analyzes, inspects and evaluates the precision and accuracy of products, designs, documentation, procedures and practices. Develops, implements and maintains quality systems, programs, policies, procedures and controls, ensuring that performance and quality of products conforms to established company, international (ISO) and government regulation standards and contractual requirements. Also involved with: requirement definition, electrical engineering design, RF design, and test work product evaluations, quality oversight for subcontractor activities and electrical component suppliers; development and production assignments, broad knowledge of electrical applications, hardware and software integration, evaluation and verification through testing, and formal problem root cause analysis and corrective action planning and execution.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related engineering, technical, or scientific discipline. Required Work Experience:
Four to five years of relevant experience in Quality. Comprehensive knowledge of discipline and full capability of applying principles, concepts and practice in contributing to solutions while supporting program objectives and representing customer interest. Previous experience in defense highly preferred.
Other Desirable Requirements:
Experience with: requirement definition, electrical engineering design, RF design, and test work product evaluations, quality oversight for subcontractor activities and electrical component suppliers; development and production assignments, broad knowledge of electrical applications, hardware and software integration, evaluation and verification through testing, and formal problem root cause analysis and corrective action planning and execution.
