Senior Product Manager

Our client is an online shopping comparison marketplace that helps you find discount shopping and compares prices on products and services in your city and around the country. By presenting sales and specials, along with great prices on e-commerce items from valued, dependable retailers, our client gives shoppers a choice like never before.

They are seeking a Senior Product Manager to be responsible for overseeing the planning, development and delivery of the product plan, business cases, business requirements, and program plans for the a suite of products for the small-medium enterprise market. This individual has primary responsibility to champion and lead the product strategy for this product line, and to work with numerous internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and opportunities and lead the definition of solutions.

Responsibilities
Lead market analysis for customer and clients needs and competitive analysis for existing competitors and new entrants.
Define, manage, and champion product strategy and projects while considering the cost, revenue potential, profitability, pricing, long-term potential, differentiation and positioning needs of the company.
Work with individual product managers and other team members to identify and build business cases for product opportunities.
The building, implementation and monitoring of the product roadmap, guiding and using input from individual product managers.
Working closely with product management and all departments (including technology, marketing, sales, analytics and finance) to develop business models and projections.
Monitor key product metrics provided by product managers and recommend product modifications or improvements to better satisfy the business’ needs.
Work with market research and analysts to understand the overall business drivers and needs of the business.
Monitor the overall direction of competitors to determine whether company product plans provide a competitive advantage in the market.
Work with the product management team, technology and operations to prioritize, schedule and implement product enhancements, build new products, and maintain product stability/usability.
Participate in and assist in the coordination of product management efforts with marketing services and support.
Work with product managers to define and manage process for keeping sales, account management and client services abreast of competitive landscape, product roadmap and product positioning.
Participate in the identification and development of sales tools, training, demonstration programs and sales literature.
Participate in strategic planning process / contribute to the strategic direction of the company.
Provide leadership for and assist in the management of product(s) over their entire lifecycle.
Participate in executive staff meetings/decisions as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in marketing or related field. MBA/MIS preferred.
7-8 years of direct experience in sales, marketing, channel management, and/or product development with progressively more responsibility and a track record of results is required.
Experience in a high performance online, e-commerce or technology environment.
At least 1-year experience with P&L and/or budgeting is required and previous supervisory or coaching experience preferred.
Excellent analytical skills for leading market and product research.
