Currently we have an opportunity available for a Senior Process Engineer in Clemson, SC. The Process Engineer reports to, and works closely with the Extrusion Dept. Mgr. to address and solve any system, process, or mechanical issues that cause/may cause efficiency loss in a 24/7 continuous yarn extrusion process operation. The candi- date must become a process expert in the Dept. to help maximize production and mini- mize cost while enhancing safety and customer satisfac- tion. Additional duties: assist in managing the Shaw Quality System for the Extrusion Department including procedures; manage the department's on-line Statistical Process Control for all prod- ucts and machines & process specifications; assist Plant Maintenance/Electrical in planning and performing preventative maintenance of all equipment; identify needed improvements and propose new projects. Requirements: A four-year Engineering degree (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred); previous manufacturing experi- ence, extrusion or other yarn production a plus; ability to work with others and achieve common goals; excellent writ- ten and oral communication skills; computer software proficiency; ability to analyze and interpret data.
