Full Job Title: Senior Principal Intersegment Systems Engineer 6 Skills Management Title Communications & Sensor SystemJob Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Integrated Defense Systems (IDS)Job Description: Qualified applicant will be expected to lead a team to do systems architecting and analysis on complex spaced based communications, networks and/or sensor systems which including multiple segments such as space, ground, user, network management, information assurance and so on. Is considered an expert in systems engineering principles, theories, technologies, and concepts. Applicant will be expected to integrate communications network, surveillance, and identification/multi-sensor system architecture requirments such as capacity analysis, performance and link budgets, top level modeling and simulations of the intersegment system with other platform systems and platform sub-systems. This includes addressing factors such as doppler compensation, interference cancellation, beam forming, intraoperability, and routing. Develops new principles, processes, methods, or concepts. Participates in resolving complex problems that require a high level of ingenuity and innovation. Experience managing large projects or programs is desired. Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all system segments, including the impact of changes in one segment on another segment. Knowledge of intersegment communications and networking concepts and principles (e.g., modulation, coding, band width, information assurance, latency, jitter, quality of service, routing, frequency hopping, gateways). Knowledge of producibility, design for manufacturing, assembly and test (DFMAT). Knowledge of the methods used by military customers in operating company products. This includes knowledge of missions, interoperability, force compositions, threats, targets, tactics, as well as military standards.
