Senior Network/Voice Engineer
The Senior Network/Voice Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and follow-on support of network infrastructure and voice over IP projects. This includes pre-sales activities such as network infrastructure design, development of detailed statements of work, and proposal generation. In addition this position includes the implementation of such solutions and any follow-on support that may be needed. Solutions will be designed based on products from Cisco Systems Corp. This position focuses primarily on Infrastructure/VOIP design and implementation in the CT, MA, and RI areas. Specialized expertise in the area of Cisco IPCC Call Center implementations and scripting is highly desirable.
Key tasks include:
•Working with sales team on pre-sales and post-sales technical requests and issues
•Responsibility for pre-sales technical activity relating to new business opportunities
•Responsibility for the creation and validation of Services Quotes, Scopes of Work, Change Order review, and any other technical information or drawings necessary to close new services opportunities and solidify opportunities
•Implementation of design and on-site customer activities related to delivery
•Delivering billable consulting activities directly to customers
•Performing customer service calls in a timely manner
•Performing 24x7 on-call duties on a rotating basis
Primary Responsibility:
•Time/Project Management - be able to appropriate manage time and priorities
•High Energy / Goal Orientation – aggressive style in problem solving / reaching objectives
•Excellent Communications Skills – Internal and External -- Able to provide good communication to customer – platform presentation skills
•High level expertise in Cisco products and design
•Experience in design and support of Voice over IP network products; Cisco preferred
REQUIREMENTS
•Cisco IP Telephony Certification
•Cisco CCVP, CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE
•Cisco Security products such as PIX firewall, IDS, ASA, etc.
•Other vendor Voice over IP and/or security products.
•Manage Windows 2000/2003 networking: DNS, WINS, DHCP
•Understanding of System and Network Security Audits, Planning, Design, Implementations.
•Windows 2003 Server Knowledge Plus.
•Industry Experience – 1+ years experience
•Proven track record of successful project implementations
