Senior Multimedia Compliance Strategist

CH2M HILL's Northeast Region is looking for an experienced multimedia compliance consultant to lead an effort to build a stronger EHS services presence in the Northeastern US. This person will work with clients in multiple industries, but chemical industry experience is critical for success. This position requires leveraging project teams across multiple offices, providing senior consulting to compliance projects and developing staff resources. This person is expected to work with corporate level EHS managers/risk managers on EHS issues, with an emphasis on programmatic approaches to enhancing compliance while reducing the long term cost of compliance. They will lead teams in serving our clients at both the corporate and plant levels.

In this seller-doer role, the senior multimedia compliance strategist will be involved with creating solutions for our clients in two or more of the following areas:
o Auditing at a corporate level, or plant level,
o EMS development, 14001 or RCMS compliant approaches
o Compliance assurance systems, automated (proprietary or custom designed) or management systems focus
o Due diligence services, with an emphasis on supporting M&A activity and the ability to give a client business value beyond environmental liability understanding
Air quality compliance is critical to many chemical industry multimedia compliance solutions, so familiarity and expertise with the Clean Air Act is a plus for this position.
Health and Safety consulting is becoming a larger aspect of our EHS services, so experience selling and delivering H&S services is a plus, particularly in the auditing area.

We are also looking for this person to cultivate existing relationships with our clients and to build new relationships within the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.




job Requirements


Preferred candidates will have at least 15 years of experience, mostly in consulting for a competitor, with most of spent serving industry on compliance for operating facilities rather than site management (remediation) services.
Profit/Loss experience:
Operations management experience for consulting firms is not required per se-but familiarity with the concepts related to managing consulting projects profitably is necessary
