Additional information can be found on our website, sig.com.Job DescriptionThe Senior Microsoft Engineer will design and implement technical solutions and provide support for our Strategic Options Trading (SOT) environment. This includes Microsoft Server technologies, task automation, entitlements and storage administration. This includes supporting the SOT development team in the effort to use a compute cluster and large data archive as well as close interaction with the Infrastructure team supporting storage, server hardware and O/S.
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of Microsoft administration; Linux administration is considered a plus.Good understanding of Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 server technologies, including domain management, AD, DNS, DHCP and WINS.Good understanding of networking concepts. Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols.Should have good understanding of server performance tuning concepts (primarily Microsoft).Must have proven experience in scripting skills in shell and Perl. C knowledge is a plus.Should have experience with CIFS and NFS shares and file systems.Experience with DHCP, DNS, NIS, and other infrastructure technologies is desirable.Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Experience in the financial industry desirable.Salary/BenefitsAt SIG, our employees are our most valued assets.
