Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Purpose: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer Busy non-union aerospace manufacturer looking for Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. Position reports to Director of Technology and works closely with Manufacturing and Quality to ensure customer satisfaction and company future growth and success.

Job Summary:
Senior Manufacturing Engineer will manage new and existing product development. Create documentation needed for product assembly, inspection, testing and processing. Provide technical support and guidance to Manufacturing. Improve and implement new assembly processing (including methods, equipment, tooling, etc.).

Responsibilities:
Factory floor problem solving
Provide Liaison engineering support to resolve shop floor technical problems
Perform Root Cause Analysis
Lead Cause and Corrective Action determination and coordination
Perform reviews of new drawings/specs and spec revisions
Assess new program start-up issues
Provide drawing/spec interpretation
Provide support in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing improvements
Review and update capacity planning data
Develop and document new manufacturing and business processes

Qualifications:

BS degree in an engineering or related technical field and 8 years experience in aerospace machining and procedures or metal fabrication and procedures or combination of Education and/or experience relevant to position responsibilities.
Solid working knowledge of computer generated manufacturing operations
Minimum of 5 years of CAD/CAM working experience
Good analytical skill
Strong Project Management skill for improvement and corrective action plans
Excellent blueprint reading skills.
Ability to work with ERP system
Strong Complex tooling, fixture design concept and background
Strong machining background on large gantry type Aerospace structural components.
Process Variability Reduction knowledge and skill such as SPC and root cause analysis, close loop corrective action.
Integrated Product Team building skill.
Cost/Budget control by managing Key Management Indicators
Excellent coordination and communication skill.
