Senior Java/J2EE Infrastructure Developer

This new position is responsible for coordinating and executing the architecture, construction, and maintenance of the applications to support Playboy.com's umbrella of web sites.

* Development and support of J2EE based billing infrastructure system.

* Implement the division's application architecture, development, and deployment strategies.

* Work closely with business staff to understand their needs, design solutions and build appropriate applications.

* Evaluate external technologies and assist in making recommendations as necessary.

* Key involvement in large-scale corporate initiatives including the design and implementation of e-commerce solutions, online payment processing systems, subscription management tools, and affiliate systems.
REQUIREMENTS
* Five+years' increasingly responsible technology experience, with prior hands-on work experience in applications development related to a company with a major web presence.

* Direct experience in designing, building, and supporting a very large web presence including first-hand knowledge of scalability & security techniques, required.

* Intensive implementation experience with the Java/J2EE, JSP/Servlets, Struts, and JSTL.

* Working knowledge of the following technologies: Javascript, AJAX, EJB, CMP, Design Patterns, Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat, JBoss Application Server, Oracle, and version control systems (Perforce a plus).

* Experience building & operating an E-commerce presence.

* Comfortable working in a Windows and Linux environment.

*Experience with the following tools a plus: Cruise Control, junit/cactus, Eclipse/Myeclispe, wikis, and/or bug tracking software.

* Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills as well as being highly self-motivated.

* Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, or other technical discipline required; advanced degree a plus.
